Jorge was born in Cuba in 1948 and exiled to the US in 1962 fleeing Cuba’s communist regime. Started pencil sketching at the age of 18 and graduated to oil painting while a college senior at Seton Hall University in South Orange, New Jersey.
Completed 10 paintings in the early 1970s and then did not touch a brush again until January 2008. Since then, he has completed more than 320 paintings, exhibiting a passion for color and detail.
Jorge is a low handicap golfer, plays softball a couple of times a week and likes reading good thrillers. He also loves drinking red wine and single malt scotch in moderation.
